FileZilla ได้รับการพัฒนาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยเวอร์ชันปัจจุบันคือ 3.2.7 และทาง Portableapps.com ได้พัฒนาเวอร์ชันที่สามารถใช้งานได้โดยไม่ต้องติดตั้ง (Portable) ทำให้สามารถเก็บไว้ในอุปกรณ์เก็บข้อมูลแบบพกพา (USB flash drive, iPod, portable hard drive, CD, etc) เพื่อนำไปใช้บนคอมพิวเตอร์ต่างๆ ได้
